As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be the front line of our sales team, opening ‘doors’, starting conversations, and helping businesses see the value of the ThreatMate platform to securing MSP client networks. You’ll work closely with Account Executives and sales leaders, connecting with prospective clients (especially MSPs) and setting the stage for major deals. This isn’t just a job — it’s a launchpad for your career in sales.

 

As we establish and build an office in Tampa, FL, this role will be in-person.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Reach out to potential clients through lead lists, cold calls and personalized emails, making that first connection count.

  • Qualify inbound leads and convert them into real sales opportunities.

  • Understand the unique challenges of each prospect and show them exactly how we can help.

  • Your outreach will fuel the sales pipeline and directly contribute to our company’s growth.

  • Book meetings and calls between prospective clients and Account Executives to move deals forward.

  • Keep up with our latest offerings, industry trends, and competitive insights so you can always bring your A-game.

  • Work closely with the Sales Leaders, providing updates on progress and results weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

Account Executive

Remote Position

Job Description

The Account Executive role is a key member of our Revenue team, responsible for sourcing, qualifying, closing, and later upselling both inbound and outbound leads. An average day will be a mix of client-facing demos, responding to prospective clients on email, phone, and chat, researching and reaching out to prospective clients, and helping to refine our sales process further. You will help shape the our sales organization by training up new sales team members including other account executives and business development representatives. This role is a great opportunity to grow your career in a fast-growing industry at an exciting and dynamic startup.

What you'll do:

Meet and/or exceed sales quotas and revenue goals by:
● Conducting proactive outreach to outbound target accounts
● Attending targeted events to find new leads
● Qualifying leads by understanding and consulting with them on their MSP business model
● Conduct product demos to prospective companies
● Closing inbound and outbound opportunities
● Answer inquiries from prospective clients 
● Work closely with the marketing and product teams 
● Participate in the development and implementation of sales processes
● Provide regular reporting on sales activity and progress towards goals

Who you are:

● 5+ years of sales experience in selling SaaS solutions to IT Managed Service Providers
● Start-up experience and comfortable wearing many hats
● Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota
● Strong ability to move fast and get things done as an independent contributor
● Active listener who can identify opportunities and leverage them
● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
● Strong focus on customer success, both during the initial sale and post-sale
● Road warrior who thrives in conferences and networking events
