ThreatMate was founded by a team of technology experts with backgrounds in DoD/National Security, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The team previously founded and successively built companies that solved large-scale enterprise grade issues in cybersecurity and network management. With ThreatMate, our team is on a mission to bring enterprise grade cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to protect small and mid-sized companies from cyber threats through Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

 

You will be joining ThreatMate at a unique time. The market for attack surface management tools is not only growing significantly, but it also presents significant blue ocean opportunities. While we displace competitors, we also empower MSPs with a platform to continuously manage the cyber risks of their clients’ networks. 

Core Developer (Go)

Remote Position (Canada/US preferred)

Level: Intermediate to Senior

Job Description

We’re ThreatMate, and we’re on a mission to make cybersecurity faster, smarter, and more MSP-friendly. Our platform helps managed service providers see their entire attack surface, test it continuously, and actually fix what matters - not just dump another report on their lap.

We’re building a new kind of security product: AI-first, practical, and outcomes-driven. And we’re looking for an awesome Core Developer to help us make it real.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Writing and maintaining production-grade Go code across our core systems in GCP

  • Building systems that automate security testing, misconfiguration detection, and AI-based decision-making

  • API integrations such as M365, Google Workspace, Windows, and other SaaS platforms

  • Working closely with product and security teams to ship features fast and iterate even faster

What We’re Looking For

  • 5-7+ years of experience building backend software

  • Proficiency in Go (or deep experience in another language and eager to go Go!)

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure. Preferably GCP.

  • An AI-first mindset - whether you’ve built LLM-powered agents, fine-tuned models, or just hack on GPTs for fun

  • You write clean, testable, maintainable code, and think deeply about architecture

  • Comfort in startup land — moving fast, staying scrappy, and solving real problems

Proficiency in web development is a plus. Javascript + VueJS.
